Put them on before I looked in the mirror, and honestly that tells you most of it.
The Geedup Handstyle x Irongate Ripstop Dark Khaki Pants are a color I used to skip, because dark khaki always looked like work clothes to me, and I was wrong about that, actually no, I was half wrong, since they do look a little like work clothes and that turned out to be the part I like. Odd, I know. And the Handstyle and Irongate names on one pair were what got me to click in the first place.
The first few wears
Ripstop is in the name, so that’s all I’ll say about the fabric, because I’d rather not guess. Against my thigh it felt a bit stiffer than the sweats I live in. But then it kind of didn’t. First real test was the drive to get food with one knee up on the seat, and the fabric made a quiet swishy noise every time I shifted, which I noticed for about a minute and then forgot about completely. Weird at first, no lie. Sturdy feeling, easy to forget about once you’re moving around.
Walking to the mailbox early one morning with my hands in the pockets and cold air finding a way in, I stopped caring what shoes I had on, which I can’t say about most of my other pants. That part surprised me. So I wore the Geedup Handstyle x Irongate Ripstop Dark Khaki Pants a bunch that week, like more times than I expected, which is pretty much unheard of for me.
What goes with them
Throw them on with a plain tee and whatever sneakers are by the door. Easy enough. Black sneakers look best to me (boots probably work too, but that’s only my opinion). The color does most of the work, I guess, so anything from Geedup in a plain shade probably sits right next to them, though I haven’t tried every combo.
I can’t tell you how they hold up after a year, because I haven’t had a year. Some people say Geed up with a space in it and some say Geedup Hoodies like it’s one long word, and I never figured out who’s right.
Anyway, the Geedup Handstyle x Irongate Ripstop Dark Khaki Pants are on the page if you want to take a look, and I’m still working out what else goes with them.
