The color thing

Pistachio is a weird one to get right. Too yellow and it looks like hospital scrubs, too green and you’re wearing a salad. This pair sits somewhere in the middle, kind of dusty, and that’s the whole reason I grabbed them. Geedup Micro Team Logo Pistachio Trackpants showed up on my feed a week before a road trip and I bought them without thinking too hard, which is usually how the good purchases happen.

They’re soft.

Not the slick shiny trackpant soft, more like a broken-in sweatshirt. Cuffs hit at the ankle bone, which matters if you’re short like me (5’6″, for real, nothing fits). Pockets deep enough for a phone and keys. A handful of receipts too, honestly.

Wearing them around

First morning I had them on I wore them to the gas station at like 7am for coffee. Nobody looked at me twice, which is exactly what I want from pants. And the waistband doesn’t dig in when you sit down in a car, that’s the test, the car seat test, the one every pair of trackpants fails eventually. These passed. So I drove forty minutes with a coffee between my knees and forgot I had them on.

The logo is small. But that’s the thing with Geedup stuff, some of it screams, this one whispers. You get one small logo on the thigh and nothing else. Geed up  in a quiet way, I guess.

Sizing runs true, or close to it, and I went medium, though I could’ve gone large for more slouch, and it sits where I like it, roomy in the waist without sliding down. Actually, no, the waist is just normal. Go down if you’re between sizes.

Wash them cold and skip the dryer, mine came out fine after four washes with no fading and no pilling, and honestly I expected at least a little pilling because that is just what happens with cheaper trackpants. Three weeks in, the Geedup Micro Team Logo Pistachio Trackpants still get picked first out of the drawer. A few people have asked where they’re from. Two of those were guys at a pickup game who probably own twelve pairs of Geedup Hoodies  between them.

They’re trackpants. You put them on and forget about them. The Geedup Micro Team Logo Pistachio Trackpants do that job fine. Take a look at the pistachio before you decide on black, that’s my only real advice here.
