Honestly the couch comes first, because that’s where sweatpants prove themselves, and with your feet up on a cushion and a bowl of cereal balanced on your knee and nobody asking you to look presentable, they pass without trying. But the car is the real test. Sit at a gas station pump for twenty minutes, actually, no, more like ten, then stand up and see if the pants came with you. Mine did. A woman at the register asked where the Geed up pants came from, and I said the name, and she typed it into her phone. Honestly I felt kind of proud, which is a strange thing to feel about sweatpants. I own a bunch of pairs and this is the one I grab first now.
I like the black most (and I’ll argue about it), because it makes the blue read soft instead of loud, and by the end of the week I’d stopped thinking about what to wear it with, which I guess is a decent sign.

Later in the day
