Caught the grey/cream Geedup Core PFK in the mirror at the gas station on my way home. The light was doing that late afternoon thing. It hit the cream panels and I just stood there for a second.
How it wears
Honestly, the fit is the whole reason I keep reaching for it. Not baggy, not tight. Roomy through the shoulders and the pants have a little weight to them so they hang right instead of ballooning out. I wore the set on a four-hour drive to my cousin’s place and by the time I got out of the car the creases had already fallen out. No lie, I expected to look like I’d been sitting in a laundry basket. Didn’t happen. And the fabric against your thigh when you first sit down in a cold car, that’s a weird thing to notice I know, but it’s kind of the first thing you feel.
Little things I noticed
Pockets sit deep enough that my phone doesn’t slide out when I’m getting out of the truck. The waistband on the pants has some give without feeling like it’s going anywhere. Wore it for a walk to the mailbox, ended up going three blocks because the morning was nice and I didn’t feel like turning around.
But the grey on grey is what sold me. The cream breaks it up just enough.
I’ve washed it a bunch already. Cold water, hang dry. Still looks the same as the day it showed up. Wait, that’s not right. The cream got a tiny bit softer. That’s it.
Where it fits
Some tracksuits you only wear around the house. This one’s a step above that. I’ve worn it to the store, to pick up food, on a quick errand run where I didn’t want to think about getting dressed. It’s Geed up enough to look intentional without trying. And if you know the brand, you know. The geed up crew will clock it. People who don’t will just think it’s a clean fit.
I guess what I’m saying is it doesn’t try too hard.
You can throw it on over a tee or just the jacket and pants together. Works either way. A handful of my buddies asked where I got it, for real. The PFK cut runs true to size in my experience. I’m usually a medium and the medium fits with room for a hoodie underneath.
And the cream panels don’t scream at you. They just sit there and do their job.
Some of the Geedup Hoodies out there are loud. This one isn’t. That’s why I keep it in rotation.
Check it out if you’ve been on the fence.
