Hood up at a gas pump with my sleeves pulled over my hands, waiting on a pump that moves slower than I do. That’s where the Geedup Cities Hoodie White Black finally clicked for me. I’d been staring at photos of it for about a week, on and off, mostly on my phone. Honestly, I don’t know why I sat on a Geedup order for that long.
White and black, and that’s pretty much all it asks of you.
What it’s like to wear
I wore it to the mailbox first, which sounds dumb, but the cuffs sitting on my wrists while I flipped through junk mail is the part I remember. Then the car. The seat belt pulled the hoodie tight across my shoulder, and I didn’t care, I just left it, kind of like a habit already. Actually, no, it wasn’t tight, it just shifted when the belt clicked. That’s the sort of thing you only catch by wearing something a bunch.
And the hood. Up in the cereal aisle because the freezer section runs cold, then down again at checkout because I felt silly. I was like, whatever, it’s a hoodie.
Where it ends up
So the Geedup Cities Hoodie White Black lives on the back of my desk chair now, which is where everything I actually wear ends up, and I’m okay with that, I guess, because the pile on the bed is worse (that pile needs a talking to) and it’s mostly shirts I never touch.
You put it on once and it turns into the one you reach for. A few mornings now it’s the first thing I grab, no thinking, and I’ve done dishes in it with the sleeves shoved up past my elbows like it was nothing. But I’ll admit I haven’t washed it as often as I should.
My cousin says Geedup Hoodies like it’s a whole category, which I thought was dumb until I was saying it too. He sent me a photo of his own the day mine showed up, no caption, nothing. That was it. Fine by me.
Say Geed up out loud and it sounds like a mood, which is probably the idea. I don’t know much about the brand beyond what I’ve actually worn, and I’d rather say that than make something up. Anyway, the Geedup Cities Hoodie White Black is on the page if you want a look. I’d start there and just see where it goes.
