Threw it on at six in the morning with the lights still off, and the yellow was the first thing I could see. That’s the geedup hand style hoodie black yello whyper. Black and loud, on purpose.
Nobody mistakes it for a plain hoodie.
What a regular day looks like
I’ve worn it maybe four times so far, actually, no, five, and every single time somebody asks where it came from. Fine by me. But the hood bunches up behind my neck against the headrest when I drive, and I kind of like that, which really, really surprised me, because I usually hate anything touching the back of my neck, so I figured this one would end up on the floor of the car with the gum wrappers. It didn’t. (The yellow looks best in daylight, I’ll stand by that.) And honestly I stopped thinking about it after the first hour.
The black is easy. It’s the yellow that gets the opinions, and for real, most of them have been good ones, though one guy gave me a raised eyebrow at the pharmacy and I decided to count that as a compliment.
Evenings are when I reach for it most, when it cools off and the porch light catches the yellow. That’s my favorite look for it. Or no, wait, my favorite is first thing in the morning, draped over the chair, before I remember I own it and put it on.
Say it however you say it
Some people call it Geed up and some just say Geedup Hoodies, and I’ve heard both in the same parking lot, which is pretty funny when you think about it. Pick whichever you’d say out loud. No lie, Geedup stuff runs loud and this one is no different. It’s pretty much the same hoodie either way.
I wear the geedup hand style hoodie black yello whyper over jeans and that’s the whole outfit. A bunch of weekends now. It’s an easy hoodie to forget you’re wearing. I keep grabbing it, like, without even deciding to, the way you reach for a light switch in your own house. Pretty much the only thing I check is the hood, and half the time I skip that too.
Look at the sizing first, because I can’t tell you how it runs on you and I’m not going to guess. So if the geedup hand style hoodie black yello whyper looks right to you after that, go have a look, anyway, no rush.
