That Blue Streak
The blue hits first. Honestly, that handstyle print across the chest is the reason this set works at all. It sits on the black like someone tagged it with a paint pen, and GEEDUP HANDSTYLE BLACK BABY TRACKSUIT BLUE carries that same look onto a baby cut without losing any of the attitude from the adult version, which, if you’ve seen the grown-up tracksuits, you know is saying something. Threw it on my niece for a 7 a.m. car seat run and the fabric against her thigh felt soft, kind of like a worn-in hoodie that’s been through the wash a hundred times. She didn’t fuss the whole ride. My sister checked the inside seam and nodded.
How It Wears
Zip top goes on easy. An elastic waist doesn’t dig into the belly after a bottle. Ankle cuffs stay put when they crawl, or, at least, they did for us. Geedup put the logo small on the chest, which I appreciate because I’m not trying to turn a baby into a billboard, and it doesn’t itch after a few washes. But the black hides a bunch of stuff, and for real, that’s like, the main reason I’d pick black over any other color. Spit-up on the shoulder wipes right off with a baby wipe, though I wouldn’t call the fabric waterproof. Wait, that’s not right. So water-resistant is what I meant, and I guess it cleans up fine either way. The matching pants have a drawstring that actually stays tied, which is more than I can say for some of the baby stuff we’ve tried.
The Fit And The Rest
The GEEDUP HANDSTYLE BLACK BABY TRACKSUIT BLUE runs a touch big in the legs, which is fine because babies grow like weeds. Geed up made this in a baby cut, shorter legs and a little more room in the seat, so it moves when they move. One more thing. The full zip means diaper changes are less of a production, which matters at 3 a.m. (Not a magic fix, just easier.) Geedup Hoodiesdid the baby sizing right on this one. The top and pants match without looking too matchy, which is harder than it sounds. And the blue on the sleeves catches light from a gas station pump screen at dusk, which is a weird detail to notice, but I noticed it. Anyway, that’s about it.
