First thing you notice
The orange does most of the talking. It’s a dolphin orange, which sounds made up until you see the blue logo next to it. My GEEDUP TEAM LOGO HOODIE DOLPHIN ORANGE BLUE showed up on a Tuesday and I wore it to the gas station that night, just to see who’d notice.
The guy behind the counter did say something, actually, he looked at it for a second and told me it was loud, and I took that as a compliment because loud is the whole point here, there’s no way around it. Fit sits how a hoodie should sit. Not slouchy. Nothing tight about it. I pulled it on over a tee and the shoulders landed where shoulders go. And the hood holds its shape when you flip it up, which matters more than people admit. Kind of a small thing. It isn’t, though.
Cold mornings, it’s the first thing my hand finds on the car seat.
Where it ends up
The walk to the mailbox turns into twenty minutes because a neighbor wants to talk, and that’s pretty much the whole story of where this thing ends up living. Jeans work fine. So do the beat-up cargos you never threw out. But honestly it works best with a plain tee under it. Geed up in the plain sense of the word, and that’s about as far as I’ve thought it through.
It’s all about the color. Wait, that’s not right. The GEEDUP TEAM LOGO HOODIE DOLPHIN ORANGE BLUE is what makes you grab it off the rack, sure, but the way it wears is why it stays in rotation, which is a different thing entirely and I guess nobody tells you that part.
The Geedup stuff has always had that going for it. Nothing about the logo yells across the street, which is what I like about it. Blue on that orange is not shy, though. A bunch of people have stopped me to ask where it’s from. One guy made me spell it so he could look it up, and he bought one. Geedup Hoodies regulars will recognize the shape already.
Sizing runs true, from what I can tell. The GEEDUP TEAM LOGO HOODIE DOLPHIN ORANGE BLUE is, like, the one hoodie I never have to think about. Mine fits a tee under it fine. Wash cold and skip the dryer (not that I’m careful with anything else I own). Anyway, go look at it if you’ve been circling it.
