I pulled it on in the parking lot before I even got to the door. The geedup signature hoodie black pink had been riding in the passenger seat since morning, and honestly I was tired of looking at it from the side.
The first five minutes
Black and pink sounds loud written down. In person the black does most of the talking and the pink just kind of sits there being pink, no fuss, no announcement, which I did not expect from a color that bright. I put the hood up at a gas station around nine one night, and the pink caught the light over the pumps, wait, that’s not right, it was the light over the ice machine. Anyway, a few people looked. Nobody said anything. (Which I’ll take, because I was not in the mood to explain it.)
It’s the hoodie you forget you’re wearing.
A friend of mine still calls the whole brand Geedup Hoodies, and I’ve stopped correcting him. He says it with total confidence, which I respect. Names stick that way. Honestly, say Geed up or say Geedup, I don’t think the hoodie cares which.
Mailbox runs are where I use it most, early, before the street wakes up, hands pulled into the sleeves because the coffee is still too hot to hold, hood half on and half off, the walk back down the driveway taking longer than it should. My neighbor asked where it came from once, and I was, like, caught off guard by how fast she asked. So I told her the name and she typed it into her phone right there in the driveway.
What it goes with
Jeans, mostly. Sweats on the lazy days. The geedup signature hoodie black pink hasn’t clashed with anything in my closet yet, and I own more mismatched stuff than I’d admit. I tried it over a collared shirt once and, no lie, don’t. Push the hood back and the black reads almost plain, so a bunch of colors will sit next to it without a fight. And if you want the pink to be the whole point, leave the hood up and keep everything else dark so nothing argues with it when you walk into a room. But that’s just my taste, I guess.
If you want to look at the pink yourself, the geedup signature hoodie black pink page is right here, and I’d start with the photos and see how long you stare.
