Back seat weather
Toss it over a tee at a gas station at night, pump clicking, and the Geedup Play For Keeps Lighthoodie Blue is already doing its job before you’ve even shut the car door.
Blue. That’s the whole color story, honestly, and I’m fine with it. The name says light and it does feel light, a bunch lighter than the thick fleece one I used to grab, and I noticed when I stuffed it in a bag. Jeans, fine. But sweats are even easier, and once I wore it over gym shorts, which looked kind of off, actually no, it looked fine, I was just tired.
Mailbox hours
At seven in the morning, walking to the mailbox with my hands pulled into the sleeves, I had the hood up and never once thought about it, no lie, which I guess is the point of a hoodie (a dumb thing to be happy about, but I am).
It feels light and easy, the sort of thing you stop noticing five minutes in.
Hood down and the seat belt right across it, and I don’t care. So it lives in the car now. A handful of friends say Geedup Hoodies when they mean the hoodies, and I’ve stopped correcting them, because honestly I say it too when I’m not paying attention. Pretty much everybody I know has one blue thing they reach for, and for me that’s this.
I’d been scrolling past the Geedup Play For Keeps Lighthoodie Blue for like two weeks, no, wait, closer to three, and only bought it because the rest were in the wash. Typical. And I typed Geed up with a space the first time I looked, which is wrong, and I’ll just say it took more tries than I expected.
Evenings, mostly. A parking lot after a movie, that stretch of night where it isn’t cold enough for a real coat but a t-shirt alone feels like a mistake. I’ve grabbed it for all of that, again and again, and honestly it’s the same move every time, hoodie on, phone out.
A cousin of mine asked where it came from and I said Geedup, and that was the whole conversation. He’s looking at one now, or he says he is. Anyway, the Geedup Play For Keeps Lighthoodie Blue is just sitting on the page if you want a look, and I’d start there and see what you think.
