I grabbed the mail at seven this morning in my Geedup Team Black Logo Trackpants, half asleep, still in last night’s hoodie, and honestly forgot I had them on until the neighbor waved. That never happens with jeans.
Plain black, one logo, that’s the whole pitch.
How they ride around
And I keep going back to them. Driving, mostly, because nothing bunches behind the knee, which I noticed on a long drive last week and didn’t think I’d care about. Gas station at ten at night, hair a mess, no lie, nobody looked twice at me, and that’s the whole upside of black when you’re pretty much out of effort. So a white tee goes on top, or whatever shirt is closest, and I’m out the door.
They sit easy and I stopped thinking about them after the first hour. A guy in line at the pharmacy asked where I got them, and I said Geedup spelled it out, and he typed it into his phone right at the counter. I laughed, because I’d been about to ask him the same thing about his jacket. I wore the pair again the next day, no wait, two days later, because the mail run in the morning had gone fine and I wasn’t about to mess with that. My cousin says Geed up, two words, and I’ve given up fixing him. Hopeless. (Black is just easier, I’ll defend that one.) Plain is fine. It’s plain, sure. But plain is why I own the pair.
Past the front door
Of all my Geedup Hoodies it’s the one I never check the mirror in.
But honestly I didn’t expect much, because a bunch of trackpants I’ve bought before ended up as the pair I only wore to clean the garage. Not with the Geedup Team Black Logo Trackpants, though. Pull them on and go. I catch myself looking down at the logo every so often, kind of dumb, like, checking it’s still there, and then I think about getting a second pair, and then I think about the money, and then I walk to the car, and the whole thing starts over the next morning with the mail.
Anyway, the Geedup Team Black Logo Trackpants page is right there if you want a look. Check the black in daylight first, that’s how I did it, though I guess it doesn’t matter much. Mine’s in the wash again, so.
