First look
Cream body, black logo across the chest, done. Geedup Team Logo Hoodie in Black Buttercream doesn’t do anything clever with the color. Nothing tricky. And that’s kind of why it works with everything already in your drawer, which is a boring answer but it’s true.
The color thing
Black Buttercream is cream with black on it. Wait, that’s not quite it either, the black is mostly the logo and trim. (I thought it was going to be two shades of black.) Daylight makes the cream read warm. Indoors it goes flat bone. I wore it to a birthday thing and nobody said a word, which I took as a compliment.
How it wears
Pulled the Geedup Team Logo Hoodie on at 6:40 one morning to walk the dog and didn’t take it off until lunch, which says more than I can put in a product description. Hood actually covers your head. You would think that went without saying. It isn’t. Cold car seat at 7am, hands pulled up into the sleeves. So you sit there a while with the key in your hand, engine off, waiting on the heat to kick in. Hood up against the wind on the walk back, hands shoved in the pocket, and I forgot I even had it on until I got to the door.
Sizing
The Geedup Team Logo Hoodie runs true, sort of. Sleeves land at the wrist bone and I’m average height, so size up if you’re tall. Nothing boxy about the body. But the shoulder seam sits right.
The logo
Geedup puts the logo right where you’d expect it, no weird side print, no text underneath, and honestly the colorway does most of the talking anyway. If you know the label, you know. A guy at the hardware store asked what it was and I gave him the whole speech. He nodded and did not buy one, as far as I know. Nobody else knew what it was either, which is a good sign or a sign I need to stop asking people at the hardware store about my clothes. The Geed up cut is relaxed without going wide.
Small stuff
Kangaroo pocket, normal depth, phone stays put. Drawstrings come untied like every other drawstring ever made, so double knot them. If you’ve been calling the hem patchGeedup Hoodies this whole time, my nephew does too. But I keep reaching for it anyway, like, a bunch of days I can’t be bothered to think about it. Most days, honestly.
