Pulled the Geedup Team Logo Tracksuit Marle/Black Grey out of the bag on a Tuesday night and pretty much wore it for the next six days straight. The marle grey has this flecked, worn-in look to it, and the black panels on the chest and legs break up all that grey so the whole thing doesn’t read flat when you see it in person, honestly, like, better on than in photos. Threw it on over a tee the first morning and didn’t take it off until I had to leave for work. Actually, no. I wore the pants to work too.
The fit
Sizing runs a little roomy, I guess, and I’m usually a medium with the medium hanging loose through the shoulders, which I kind of like for layering a hoodie underneath or just on its own when the weather can’t decide. The pants have an elastic cuff at the ankle that keeps them from dragging on wet pavement. And the drawstring actually stays tied, which is more than I can say for a few other tracksuits I’ve owned. Nothing worse than a drawstring that gives up halfway through the day. Wait, that’s not right, the cuff isn’t super tight, it’s just right.
The inside has a brushed feel, soft against the leg when you sit down in the car after a long day, and I noticed it at a gas station stop, pulling the hoodie back on after pumping gas, that little warm slide over my arms. Small thing. Stuck with me though. (That kind of detail separates a keeper from a drawer filler.)
Wearing it out
Geedup is one of those brands people either know or they don’t, and Geed up in the right circles, someone will nod at you across the parking lot. The Geedup Team Logo Tracksuit Marle/Black Grey has the logo stitched clean on the chest and the thigh, not that plasticky print that peels after one wash.
Still holding up.
So grab the set for a walk to the mailbox or a day out, and it works either way. Geedup Hoodies keep the fit relaxed without looking sloppy. A bunch of my friends asked where I got it.
And it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a costume, which is the thing with a lot of tracksuits. No lie, that’s the part I care about most. Take a look at the Geedup Team Logo Tracksuit Marle/Black Grey if you want to see the colorway up close.
