How it actually fits
Pulling the hood up at 7:12 on a Tuesday, already late, coffee in the other hand. That’s when a tracksuit earns its keep. The Geedup O/S G Black Tracksuit is the one you grab without thinking, the one that’s already by the door because you wore it yesterday and the day before that too. No lie, I’ve worn mine three days straight and nobody at the gas station said a word (which is exactly what I wanted).
The fit runs roomy. Not sloppy. There’s a difference, like, you can tell it’s cut for a body and not a hanger. I’m 5’10” and the medium hangs just past my hip with the cuffs hitting right at the ankle, which means you get that relaxed shape without looking like you borrowed it from someone twice your size. And the black stays properly black. Kind of surprised me honestly, black cotton usually goes gray after a bunch of washes.
Where I’ve worn mine
I wore the Geedup O/S G Black Tracksuit on a four-hour drive to my sister’s place last month, the fabric against my thigh didn’t bunch up once, and when I stopped for gas somewhere off the interstate, the whole thing still looked put together enough that I didn’t feel like I was walking around in pajamas. That’s the kind of thing you notice when you’re stuck behind a truck doing 45 in a 65 with nothing to do but think.
Geedup makes gear that feels broken in from day one. The Geed up look works for a store run or a school pickup. If you want something with a bit more attitude, the Geedup Hoodies might be the move, but this black set is the quiet one that does the job without asking for attention.
And the pockets.
Deep enough for a phone and keys, not so deep your stuff slides out when you sit in the car. I’ve lost exactly zero lighters since I started wearing this thing. Wait, that’s not right, I lost one last week, anyway, that was in the couch cushions and not the tracksuit’s fault.
So the whole thing is pretty simple. Black. And roomy. Soft enough to sleep in if you have to. The kind of tracksuit you wear until it smells like your car and that one bonfire from last summer. If that sounds like your life, the Geedup O/S G Black Tracksuit is worth a closer look.
