I had the Team Logo x Irongate Black/White T Trackpant on before I even left the parking lot, which is not something I normally do. Honestly I just wanted to see it on. It’s black and white and nothing loud, the sort you stop thinking about around the second block.
First week with them
Gas station on the way home. I sat in the car for a minute with the engine off, scrolling, and nothing pulled or bunched at the knee when I slouched. That’s kind of rare for me. I’d been Geed up about this drop since the first photo, so I was braced to be let down. I wasn’t.
They feel like pants you forgot you put on, in a good way.
But the black and white is what got me. Photos made it look flatter than it is, and in person the Team Logo x Irongate Black/White T Trackpant has a bit more going on, which I didn’t expect, and I stood at the hallway mirror longer than I’d admit, turning around like an idiot to check the back.
And the mailbox thing. Next morning I walked out to the mailbox around seven in slides with no jacket, and the legs just hung there against my ankles while the cold came up from the driveway, and I remember thinking I should probably go put real shoes on, but I kept going anyway, down to the corner and back, because it was a good morning to be a little underdressed. (Slides with trackpants is a look, and I’m fine with it.) So now it’s like the pair I grab first. Pretty much every day. Throw them on and go.
What I wear them with
A plain tee, mostly. Actually, no, any hoodie I own works, and a bunch of them are gray so the black and white doesn’t fight anything. My cousin calls anything in this lane Geedup Hoodies, and honestly he’s not wrong, but I just call them mine.
I took them to my brother’s place on Sunday and he picked them up off the couch, turned them inside out like he was checking a receipt, and asked where I even found them, which I couldn’t answer without a long story, so I told him to look it up.
Anyway, if you’re into Geedup at all, the Team Logo x Irongate Black/White T Trackpant is just sitting right there on this page, so go have a look, I guess.
