First look
Pulled the GEEDUP PLAY FOR KEEPS QUARTER ZIP GREY BLUE on at 6:40 on a Tuesday. Still dark outside. And the collar sat right under my jaw while I waited for the car to warm up. Honestly, I forgot I had it on until I hit the gas station on Route 9. The zipper pull tapped my collarbone when I leaned into the passenger seat to grab my phone, which is a small thing, I guess, but it kept me from spacing out.
The grey blue thing
The grey blue reads darker in my hallway, actually no, it matches the pics pretty much, but it leans more blue under the kitchen light and more grey by the window. A few people at the shop asked if it was Geedup and I said yeah. The Geed up stuff fits me a little boxy in the shoulders and this one does the same, which I like (weird, I know). I wore it to the mailbox at 8:15 and the grey blue looked almost black in the porch shadow. So now it’s my go-to for the dog walk when I don’t want to think.
Wear it
No lie, the GEEDUP PLAY FOR KEEPS QUARTER ZIP GREY BLUE has become my default for the 7:10 coffee place drive-thru on Wednesdays. Wait, that’s not right, it’s not a school line, it’s the coffee place. The fabric against my forearm feels cool then warm, like a car seat in October. And I keep the zipper halfway down because the collar gets a little loud when it’s all the way up. Geedup Hoodies will know what I mean.
Not really. Same fit as the first one I tried. It stays put. I’m like, whatever, it’s a quarter zip. But the grey blue goes with everything I own, for real. And I don’t have to think about it. That’s the whole thing. A handful of my friends have asked where I got it, and I just point at the tag. I’ve worn it on a few quick errands where the AC blasts and the parking lot bakes and honestly it just does its job without me noticing it, which is more than I can say for most stuff in my closet.
It’s an easy layer to leave by the door.
