Out of the Bag
First thing, the red handstyle on this GEEDUP X TRAPSTAR HOODIE RED HANDSTYLE is not some sticker slapped on at the last minute. Not even close. Wore it to the gas station on a Thursday night and the guy at the register asked if it was custom, which made me laugh because no, but I get why he asked. Funny how that works. Soft out of the bag too, not stiff like some hoodies feel when you first pull them on, and the hood actually stays up when you flip it over your head instead of sliding back down your neck like it’s trying to escape.Geedup fans will recognize the fit right away. Roomy in the shoulders. Not boxy though. Boxy is a dealbreaker for me.
The Fit
The GEEDUP X TRAPSTAR HOODIE RED HANDSTYLE runs a touch big, so keep that in mind, and I went with my normal size anyway because I like a little slack through the chest when I’m sitting in the car for a while, which happens more than I’d like to admit, and the cuffs didn’t stretch out after a full day of wearing it around the house. And that’s usually the first thing to go on a hoodie. Sizing down is an option. But then the sleeves get short. Actually, no, they’re fine either way, I’m just picky. A few people have asked where I got this one. Same question every time. I just point at the chest and keep walking, which is maybe rude, but whatever.
The Details
Pocket is deep enough for a phone and keys without anything sliding out when you sit down on a car seat, which is the kind of thing you only notice after it saves you. Stood in the driveway after getting the mail and the red caught the porch light, which sounds dumb but it looked good. Geed up and Trapstar on the same chest is a thing, and Geedup Hoodies clearly had a hand in getting the fit right, because the GEEDUP X TRAPSTAR HOODIE RED HANDSTYLE still feels like, easy, you know, the kind of hoodie you grab without thinking. (The red is brighter in person, by the way.) Pairs with jeans. Sweats work too. But also fine to wear out if you don’t feel like trying. So check it out if you want something that does the job without a whole production.
