The car was still freezing when I pulled the GEEDUP HANDSTYLE BLACK HOODIE SORBET over my head, and I stood in the driveway like an idiot waiting for the heater to catch up. Black. Sorbet. That’s pretty much the first thing people say when they see it, and then they ask where it’s from, and I never have a clean answer.
What it’s like on a normal day
Honestly, it just feels like a hoodie you stopped thinking about after the second wear.
I wore it to the gas station on a Tuesday, hood half up, and the guy at the register asked where I got it. Short answer, a Geedup drop. Long answer, I don’t remember, I think I saw it on somebody’s story, scrolled past, came back an hour later, and spent a bunch of minutes going back and forth like it was a mortgage. And that’s the thing about the Geed up crowd, nobody talks about fabric first, they just point at the hoodie. Kind of funny. Actually, no, it’s only funny because I did the exact same thing.
The front pocket got used more than I expected. My hands go in the second I’m standing in a line anywhere, even the pharmacy one that never moves, and they stay put until somebody finally says my name. I’m, like, weirdly into pulling the sleeves down over my knuckles when the wind picks up.
Late afternoon is when I notice it most, honestly, when the sun drops and the GEEDUP HANDSTYLE BLACK HOODIE SORBET is the only layer between me and the walk back from the mailbox, and I don’t reach for anything else.
Stuff I’d wear it with
Jeans, mostly. Sweats on the weekend, I guess, or whatever is clean. It’s black, so it doesn’t fight with anything. So I stopped overthinking it. But it does look best with something plain on the bottom. It feels easy to wear, the kind of thing you grab without looking. Throw it on over a tee and go.
Black hides a lot, and I mean a lot, which matters when you eat in the car. Crumbs, mostly. Nothing shows until you’re under the bright lights at the grocery store.
Some people call the whole brand Geedup Hoodies, which I find hilarious (and kind of unfair, since the hoodie is better than the nickname).
Anyway, the page is right there if you want a look at the GEEDUP HANDSTYLE BLACK HOODIE SORBET yourself. Colors first, I’d say.
