First Look
Pulled the GEEDUP X TRAPSTAR HANDSTYLE BLUE HOODIE out of the mailer and the blue is deeper than the photos, like a navy that leans royal in the right light, and I held it up for a second because the handstyle across the chest looked sharp instead of busy. Soft right away. Not stiff. Good enough for me. Wore it to the mailbox at dusk and the blue caught the porch light in a way that made me stand there longer than I needed to, which my neighbor probably noticed. And the hood holds its shape when you pull it up instead of sliding down your neck like it’s trying to escape. Geedup fans will recognize the cut. (The left pocket is deeper, for some reason.) A few people have asked where I got it, which never happens with plain hoodies.
The Fit
The GEEDUP X TRAPSTAR HANDSTYLE BLUE HOODIE runs a touch roomy through the shoulders, not tent big, just relaxed, and I went with my normal size because I like a little slack when I’m sitting in the car for a while, which happens more than I’d like to admit, and the cuffs didn’t stretch out after a full day around the house. And that’s usually the first thing to go on a hoodie. Sizing down is an option. But then the sleeves get short. Actually, no, they’re fine either way, I’m just picky. So keep that in mind if you like yours snug. That’s just how I wear mine.
Out and About
Wore it to a gas station on a Tuesday morning and the guy behind the counter nodded at the handstyle, no words, just a nod, and I took that as a good sign since he sees everybody’s hoodies all day and doesn’t look at most of them. The graphic hasn’t cracked after a bunch of washes, and I’ve washed it with whatever was in the hamper, not careful at all.Geed up and Trapstar sharing a chest threw me at first, like, a collab or something. Doesn’t matter. Geedup Hoodies clearly had a hand in getting the fit right, because the GEEDUP X TRAPSTAR HANDSTYLE BLUE HOODIE still feels like, easy, you know, the kind of hoodie you grab without thinking. Blue is blue, and that’s fine. Not a dealbreaker. So take a look if you want something that does the job without a whole production.
